These reels seem very similar, does anyone know of any differences, If they are the same, you can pick up the code red for consistently lower prices than the KVD reel.

When I come back from Iraq (early to mid May) I'll be able to test a new CR I purchased and I'll write a quick review bout it.

If I'm not mistaken, the KVD is a beefed up code with a flipping switch and then the Code Red comes out with almost the same specs.  If the Code Red comes cheaper, then I would choose it. I have an original Code and really like the reel.  Not the smoothest but nothing to complain about.  Little disappointed by the ACS II system with only 3 positions and free but once dialed in can really work for you.  Have had mine for about a year and a half with no real complaints
