Pline Evolution

Featured Replies

Anyone used this stuff? I can get a pretty good deal on it at work and was thinking about buying a spool of it. I'm planning on putting it on two of my rods, a CBR845 and a 6'6" Fenwick HMG Casting. The CBR obviously for cranks, and the HMG for jigs/worms/spinnerbaits. Is a copoly a good idea for this type of fishing?

I bought some at Dick's a little while back for $3.50 for 330 yrds.  Haven't spooled  anything up yet with it.

20lb + for swimbaits.  Ive never used a thinner diameter so cant comment on that, but it works great in the high lbtests.

I've used 12#. Castibility is superb and better than many others out there. However, like many other Pline products, it has memory up the ying yang. Memory doesn't bother me but if it bothers you then not many Pline lines out there will you like.

Of the times I used it I've gotten skunked so I can't comment much else. It does seem to be fairly abrasion resistant.

Still need more time to further evaluate.
