My local tackle store is going out of business and i need a good spinning rod.  All the rods are on sale super cheap. I have never used a  mojo rod or carrot stick, but i do have a low rider rod and like it a lot.  

Mojo rods use pretty poor guides that will need replacing too soon.  I would jump on any good sale on Low Riders.  I very much prefer them to Carrot Sticks.  My hands are pretty small but I still find the Carrot Stick grips to be too small.

Have you actually had a rod with Batson Aluminum Oxide guides and had them fail?  If so, was it with braid or mono?  I have several rods with Aluminum Oxide guides, but I don't know if any of them are Batson.  I have had one insert pop out, but I know for sure that is was a Fuji guide.

Yep, a St. Croix Premier.  I was using monofilament.  I love the rod except for the guides.

LowRider. The Mojo is just a tarted-up Premier (which never really impressed me) and the guides on the Carrot Stix remind me of the ones Berkley puts on their $20 Cherrywood rods.

You cant go wrong with the Lowrider or Mojo. I have both and like them equally. Go with the best warranty which I think is Falcon. Mojo has a 5 year.

LOL please explain why the Carrot is only good for cranking...have you not heard of or seen the 6'9 or 7'3 MH, or the 7'9 XH? They have several other MH and H actions as well that I use for jigs and frogging. And Carrots have the best warranty out of the three, a lifetime over the counter no questions asked warranty... :

I knew what you meant.  I had been warned about those Batson guides, but I liked the rod so much that I bought it anyway and, sure enough, the insert fell out of the rod tip very quickly.  I replaced it with a Fuji.

100% carrot stix... You know whats making me mad? when everyone hammers on C/Stixs guides... because there not Fuji... I really like Fuji guides dont get me wrong and wish Carrots came with them.... but as much as I have fished my Carrots with Braid and mono I have NEVER had one fail nor have I had ANY problems with them what so ever... Infact other then people just saying "I dont like there guides" I havent never heard a owner complain about the guides failing or causing problems.... Carrot stixs ARE GREAT and I mean GREAT rods for the price hell there great rods for 50.00 more then what they cost...

Defensive? I just personally really like the carrots for cranking. I think they are very good for that application. In fact I am looking to buy one. However, I do not care for them in other applications.. I am glad you like yours.

Get infected and go orange!! I use them for everything, but my favorite applications are t-rigging and jigging. I have a spinning that I use for light worming. My Carrots have relegated most of my G.Loomis(all flavors) rods to backup duty.

6'9" MH is a good wormer. I like them because I would consider their lure weight ratings to be accurate.

I love my Mojos and i beat the crap out of them fishing cover and have never had a guide fail....yet! Knock on wood! ;D
