Quantum Energy PT Casting Rods

Featured Replies

I saw these on Tackle Warehouse awhile back and I am saving up to get one.  How is this rods: sensitivity, backbone (pulling the big ones out of the thick stuff).  I am planning to save up to get the flippin stick.  Is this money well spent or should I keep looking around for a better rod?

    Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well as much as i love quantum reels i dont have many great things to say about there rods... they are OK but i think you can get a better rod in there price range.. If i was you i would go with a carrot stik... they are super light and very sensitive and only cost 149.95.. for flipping i would go with a 7'6 H

I just picked up 2 Energy PT rods a few weeks back. One is the 7' MHF and the other is the 7'6" HF, flippin stick. I've been very impressed with them so far (although I will admit, I've spent 90% of my time between these 2 rods with the MHF). Plenty of backbone and I've found them to be pretty sensitive (at least for me). The flippin stick does seem a little tip heavy though. In my book, they are definitely worth the money! Rods are a personal preference, what feels great to one person, may not to another. My advice would be to go check them out, as well as any others in your price range, and decide for yourself. Only you know exactly what you like!  :)

I have the 7'm and 7'MH, I have posted on here how much I like these rods. I think they are very underrated.

I haven't used the specific model you are talking about but they are great rods with a great warranty.
