new reel for an avid 7' m fast action???

Featured Replies

close to pulling the trigger on a new AVC70MF thanks to another post running on this d**n forum!!! I currently own stx's and a patriarch. Should I stay with one of those or try something lighter given the m action rod??? Most likely I will use this rod for shakey heads and weightless lures. Any ideas???

What's up bud... well I just ordered the Shimano MG51 from ***.com for $184 based on recs from this board... I would recommend that.

only left handed though right???

I would look for a NIB 50MG on ebay or consider the Curado 200E7.  Either one of those would be an excellent choice.

An STX would not be a bad choice either.  But there is a like new Garcia Premiere for sale in the flea market for a really good price.  Too bad it is right handed.

Later, :)

less than 350.

edit...meant to say 300. i think the wine got to me!!!

Chronarch 100D or the Core if you have $350 to spend. You could also go the JDM route and look at Daiwa Pixy or Alpha. Of course if you wanted to save some of the $350 I would highly recommend a 50Mg or Daiwa Sol. I really don't think you could go wrong with any of these reels.

Diawa Sol is lightweight and great for light baits.

never mind rod is out of stock.

it's out of stock but you could still order it and get the deal... it seems to me you would just get in when they got more in stock for the same great price.

Bummer though... I must have ordered one of the last ones.
