  1. So, went out with the Finesse worm not the Trick worm and pitched drop shot with them. All I can say is it sits just as pretty as a roboworm and is more durable. Does it catch fish? Yes and unfortunately turtles too. Caught half a dozen bass and a huge snapping turtle.
  2. So is the consensus that drop shotting these will be fine or should I return them and stick to the Robos
  3. Does the zoom finesse worm float? It has a flat bottom so I assume these are poured and then would float. I am looking to use them instead of roboworms in my dropshot. 20 for $4 is better than 10 for $4... Thoughts?
  4. By far and away the Curado... you won't be disappointed best reel for the money in my opinion. In fact you may like it better then the Premier.
  5. Perfect... I will give that a try today and report back this evening.
  6. So I typically drop shot a 4" roboworm in aaron's magic and fish just kill it... it may slowly be my go to over a senko. Question: can you drop shot a tube; like a 3" gitzit? Will it have the same action or will it not work well?
  7. What aluminum boats do you recommend; knowing I would like a very stable boat in the water? I don't want to walk around the boat and the things is rocking so much I get sick.
  8. Why do you think I would upgrade from Aluminum to Fiberglass? What reasons do you like fiberglass more than aluminum?
  9. What do you recommend my first boat be made of Aluminum around $9K or Fiberglass around $14K. I understand aluminum boats tend to rock back and forth more when you walk around on them.
  10. I have a Curado and MG; the MG wins hands down, but the Curado can handle it with the right rod as people are saying, but do yourself and favor and buy a Chronarch.
  11. Tubes $5 Weighted Tube Hooks $5 Senko (Green w/ Red Flake) $7 Owner EWG Hooks $5 Zara Spook $7 Strike King Burner Spinner in Sexy Shad $7 Buy all of this and you won't be disappointed. Good luck, I live in the south and this is what works down here
  12. nope, I figured out the brakes just fine, I am recommending to a new baitcaster that they don't fiddle with magnetic brakes for their first baitcaster. My STX spool release broke on day two... yes I had a bad experience with REVO and yes I will stick with Shimano. I mean for $200 I should not have an issue... Do you think differently?
  13. It's an insane value for the money... i have the exact same rod, actually two 6'6" mf and couldn't be more impressed... Strap on a shimano and the bass jump out the lake and throw themselves in the boat.
  14. Can I tell you this combination is incredible... $180 Avid plus a $180 Curado or MG is so money... balanced well, great sensitivity and all for under $400. If you are looking for a new set-up look no further. I use my Avid MG for pitching light-weight lures and my Avid Curado for the heavier stuff... Amazing combo; look no further if you are looking for a new set-up. Hatty
  15. For the person having problems with the Citica I think you should go for 6 brakes on instead of 2 or 4... this will prevent initial backlashes and then with the cast control feel free to loosen it up a bit or else when you reel in the bait the reel will feel very stiff. Also, find a heavier bait, like a spinner bait to practice with before putting on the light stuff. Having lots of brakes on will decrease casting distance, having the cast control loose will keep the reel smooth, stick to a heavy bait until you gain confidence, make sure you are using 10, 12 or 14 lb line, and make sure you rod isn't super stiff like a (heavy or extra heavy) I tell beginners to stick with Medium and a 6'6" to 7' rod. I know people will tell you to put on less brakes but I think the key for you right now is to keep all 6 brakes on... I have used a Citica for a number of days out and I am sure you will get the hang of it. I couldn't recommend the Citica or Curado more, but don't take my word for it... go to www.tackletour.com and check out the review and video. It's their "editors choice." Good luck, Hatty
