Does the Zoom Finesse Worm Float?

Recommended Posts

Does the zoom finesse worm float?  It has a flat bottom so I assume these are poured and then would float.  I am looking to use them instead of roboworms in my dropshot.  20 for $4 is better than 10 for $4...

Thoughts?

They have a flat bottom but if you look at the bottom you will see the Zoom logo sticking out.  This indicates that they are injection molded.  They do not float and note that some patterns are loaded with salt which will make it sink even more.  I perfer the salted patterns because they seem to be softer and have more action.  Even though don't float they are a fine economical replacement for your robos.

So is the consensus that drop shotting these will be fine or should I return them and stick to the Robos

They'll work fine on a dropshot and you'll catch a few more fish on them too.  Roboworms are great but rarely do you get more than one fish on a Roboworm.

Give them a try, if you don't like them for Dropshotting, TX rig them, Shaky Head etc.

The zoom worm slowly sinks and is great for weightless twitching, split shot rigs, and shaky heads.

this maybe a dumb question but, Roboworm is a bait company so when everyone refers to "roboworms" or "robo's" are u guys refering to their straight tail worm? and thats the one that floats?

Thanks

the trick worm is alot bigger than the robobs so be sure you use a bigger hook obviously...i couldnt replace the robos personally...they are one of my most productive baits on my home lake...favorite worms by far...try ordering the robos in bulk...i dont know if you can....they are deff worth the extra money though...i get them for 289 a pack...

So, went out with the Finesse worm not the Trick worm and pitched drop shot with them.  All I can say is it sits just as pretty as a roboworm and is more durable.  Does it catch fish?  Yes and unfortunately turtles too.  Caught half a dozen bass and a huge snapping turtle.

Bigger than a robo 4" yes, but I believe he was aking about the Finesse worms, not Trick worms.  Either way I use a #2 Gammy DS hook when I DS any worm up to 7" or under.

It's light, no one is upset, just trying to make sure that everyone is on the same page, that's all.   ;)
