  1. when i fished this i couldn't even get the blade to spin like a buzzbait. i love the idea of it, a buzzbait u can stop. it just seems like it has to b fished like a slushbait or torpedo. has potential tho.
  2. So, I have recently been throwing a jitterbug almost every night. The bites are amazing and explosive, however the only problem is the fish miss waaaayyy to much. At night it produces more bites than a pop-r, or other top water lures ive tried. Is there anything I could do? Ive even slowed my retrieve to the point that its barely gurgling and the fish lose interes. Trailer hooks? maybe try the XL one? I dont know any help would be appreciated
  3. Has anyone actually used the banjo minnows that are always being advertised and had success with them? I was just wondering if they were all that they were crackd up to be?
  4. I have been currently throwing a lot of the 7" Berkely power worm in a few various colors with pretty good success. I love the action of the worm. I fish it by either weightless/weedless, or texas rig it with a very small bullet weight like a 1/16 oz. I simply cast and reel it straight back to the boat varying speeds. I was just wondering what are some others favorite ways to rig, and fish the powerworm? Or if anyone just has some suggestions for me? Thanks.
  5. Devils Horse is my all time favorite topwater lure!
  6. Everyone talks about running a crank through weeds and bouncing it off of the bottom of lakes off rocks and underwater structure, well how do u possibly do this without getting either hung up, or reeling in a big wad of moss and algae like plants?!? That is all i get everytime!
  7. No it does not, it isnt bouyant enough with its size. Great for shaky heads tho!
  8. I am looking for some different places to fish. Does anyone know of any public or non-gated private lakes/ponds around the Farmington area in Missouri? Any help would be appreciated...
  9. I am looking for someone to fish with in South East Missouri. I live in the Farmington area and do not have a boat, but love to fish daily! Let me know if interested...
  10. Does anyone use weedless ribbit frogs? I have had several fish on by skimming them over the top of weeds/grass, but never got the fish to the boat because of not being able to set the hook, even after a hard hookset. Any suggestions, or ideas?
  11. I personally like to use a zoom finesse worm that is junebug/red flake. However, I love the action of the jig and was wondering what other soft plastics do some of you prefer instead of the finesse worm?
  12. I've had most of my success on junebug/red flake finesse worms on shaky head jigs. Other than that, shallow cranks, jointed cranks, and black and blue jig and pig.
