Think'n About a Kistler

Featured Replies

Let's hear some opinions on Kistler rods. I've been doing some research online, and so far it's been nothing but good. Any Kistler owners, past or present, want to throw their two cents in? As of now, I'm leaning toward a Argon TS

I've no experience with the Argon, but own three LTX's and one Magnesium.  I've also fished an LTA for a bit.

IMO they are quality, sensitive rods.  The LTX blew me away the first time I fished one last summer.  I don't know how they compare to the Loomis IMX/GLX, but IMO the LTX and LTA are some of the most sensitve sticks on the market.

I don't think you will be unhappy with any of the Kistler rods.

I have a Magnesium and I love it. It is pretty light for a flippin stick and it is also very sensitive.

I have the LTA flippin stick and another LTA medium heavy. Extremely lightweight and very sensitive.  I also have the IM7 crankbait which has a great action to it.

I currently have 15 Kistlers. Four of which are LTA's and the remaining 11 are Magnesium TS...Can't say enough about Kistler Rods!

Give one a try....

I own 13 Kistlers ranging from Graphite series, Magnesiums, LTA's.

Love 'em all.
