Shimano Curado 301E Question

Featured Replies

I currently own a Calcutta 401 te and Im not to sure if I like the round reel concept.  So, Ive been thinking about going to a  curado 301E for my swimbaits.  What is your opinion on the curado for a swimbait application? Thanks for the input. ;)

It should work really well.  That model of the Curado was made to throw larger baits.  Plus it has a really deep spool, which will give ya a lot of line capacity.

Excellent choice for swim baits.  It has the power and line capacity you need.

Later, ;)

Funny, I have a couple 301Ds and have been thinking about buying a Calcutta TE 401 for my new swimbait rod. I use my 301 for everything from Huds to wakebaits. They are good swimbait reels, but I have been wanting to try a 401.

What is your opinion on the TE and why are you not sold on the round reel concept?
