I had a guy recommend I use a high visibility yellow 4lb line for fishing on my light tackle outfit in very clear water. I use this light tackle set-up when fishing 1/8 oz rooster tail spinners for White Bass on a very clear lake. I have never felt the need to buy a line that is high visibilty. Can anyone tell me what the benifit of this would be?

Depends. If you watch your line to detect subtle bites, hi-vis helps. Otherwise no need to do it.

For the rooster tail you won't need the hi-vis line, IMO. I don't see how it would help you.

FYI...  I hear Berkley is coming out with a new line in a few weeks that will be high-vis above the water & clear under water.  I belive it is a mono.

I'm not sure, but I know it's going to be under the Trilene family.  It's going to be called Trans-Vis or something close to that.
