cabelas baitcaster

Featured Replies

Anyone ever use cabelas brand baitcasters? If so ,send me your feedback.

I have the Cabelas Prodigy B/C which is made by Daiwa which is now on sale for $74.99 online and regularly $100. It's a very good reel and my first quality baitcaster and still have it to this day. The reel is about 2 years old now and not a problem at all with it. Doesn't handle lighter weights to well but that could have just been my lack of experience when I first got it. Easy to learn to use and great breaking system as well. Plus Cabelas stands behind there products

I had a few of the old Prodigy's why they changed them I do not know, but I have had a new one to try for the last couple of weeks, and I am not feeling the new one

The Tournament ZX, are good when they have them on sale for 50, which is a good price for that reel.

I also have one of the Daiwa made Prodigys that I really like...2 years active duty, no troubles.

That said, where can I send it for service? Cabela's does not repair their own reels. If they did I would buy more, but they don't so I probably won't.

Hey DMB: which is why I will not buy them anymore. Made me a full time Flooger Mook!

I really love their rods ;)
