berkley lightning rod shock

Featured Replies

I was looking at buying one of these rods.  I was wondering how sensitive and strong they are.  Thanks!

For the price their great, I have a 6'6 MH and though it is very light it has enough backbone to haul in the big ones.

I was looking at one at Wal-Mart that actually looked like it would make a good frog rod! They have a great backbone section.

I prefer the AMP over the lightning rod but both are good.

Got the 7'6" M spinning rod.  Very good rod but a bit heavy, but I don't mind.  It's stated to use braid but it has line rating for mono also.  Sensitivity, any rod you use w/ braid will make it that much more sensitive.  So for the most part yes it has good sensitivity.
