Chigger craw
A chigger craw is a very versitle bait, I have had luck with it used as a jig trailer. Also, they work very well texas rigged with a tugsten bullet weight on a 3/0 or 4/0 hook.

crankbaits
Yes, Crankbaits including lipless cranks are successful year round. Find out where the fish are and adjust your crankbait running depth accordingly.

For the price their great, I have a 6'6 MH and though it is very light it has enough backbone to haul in the big ones.

Berkley Lightning Rod?????
I have had a lightning rod for about 3 months now, it's a 6'6 MH so far everything has worked great. It is very light weight and has a good feel to it paired with a baitcasting reel. Obviously it isnt going to compare to the higher end rods but for the price you cant beat it.

Drain Plug Incident, Batteries Underwater/ Help!
Need some Advice. My fishing buddy and I heading out to the lake yesterday and were in a hurry due to a storm heading that way in a few hours. We got the boat in the water and began fishing the banks around the ramp we put in at. Then I happen to look down and water was coming up through the drain in the middle of the boat, at that time I knew exactly what happen I forgot to put the drain plug in. Within a few stressful minutes we had the boat out of the water and began to let the water drain out. I checked the battery compartment in the back of the boat and all 3 batteries were underwater (2 for the trolling motor). Then I tried to turn on the bilge pump and it wouldnt pump in maual or auto, also my fishfinders wouldnt turn on. The question is my trolling motor still works and my other electronics dont seem to and they were both in the same situation. Any help or advice would be appreciated My Boat 1996 Javelin 389 TE

Name this hook
It looks to me like a Gamakatsu Monster EWG (Extra Wide Gap) Hook. I also have noticed a better hook up percentage by switching to a wider gap hook.

New To Forum, Muddy Water Tips
Im new to this forum and I have received alot of information already. I just purchased my first bass boat, and will begin fishing a local tournament in the next few weeks. While pre-fishing the lake that the tournament is on, I havent had much luck, just a couple bass a day. I would like some suggestions on fishing in 4-6 feet very muddy water, like what locations to hit and what colors and lures to throw etc. Thanks
