I saw this as well but it's too bad you have to pay $8 additional shipping for the rod.  Wonder if you could tell them just to keep the rod and send just the reel to save on shipping?

Personally I would say that its a good deal even with the extra shipping....The code is a great reel and is a steal for that price with shipping

Thats kinda what i thought...my total cost with shipping and everything was like 66 bucks. Plus now I'll have a decent backup rod.

I just paid $60 for a code on Ebay and had to get in on this deal also. It's like getting a decent rod for less than $7. I could'nt say no. The 6'6" rods are gone but the 7' are in stock. My son has a birthday in September, now he will have 2 Codes
