Has anyone tried the St Croix Legend X T R E M E.? How does it compare to the Legend Elites, and Legend Tournament? And how does it compare to rods in the price range? I really haven't heard much about this rod is it new or something?

as a side note how come we cannot say X T R E M E (without the spaces of course)

    They are built on the same blank (SCVI/SCV) as the comparable model LE, just a different color, split grips and Recoil guides. not a fan of Recoils. For the $ they want for an LEX, I'd build a custom LE with Ti/SiC guides.
