I have one of these rods on my way, but don't really fish shakeys ALL that often. I realize I can use this rod for whatever the hell i want, but am starting to get some combos in my arsenal to start getting technique specific. So... can I get some suggestions on what I can get away with using this

I've actually been looking at this exact same rod to upgrade my current(only) spinning setup. I would imagine it would cover dropshot/shakey/senko all pretty well.

IMO the correct answer is like you said, anything. stay within the weight limit of the rod and try other methods. you might find it to be the perfect lipless crank rod or spinnerbait rod.
