I am in the market for a new rod. I want something less than 7' that can handle worms, frogs, rattle's, spinners, and jigs. Basically an all around rod. My price range is 300 and below. Any suggestions?

thanks, Jim.

I'd look at the MBR 783 GLX... it's a great all around rod at 6'6" - and if you wanted a solid 7' rod, the MBR 843 GLX is sweet.  There's a very good deal on an MBR 783 GLX in the flea market right now!  Good luck!

I agree with Bronzefly. I bought an MBR 843 GLX from the same member selling the MBR 783 in the flee market, a highly recomended seller IMO. I prefer 7' rods and think the 843 is an amaxing all around rod. If you would prefer a 6'6" rod then you can't go wrong with the MBR 783 GLX.

cool i'll look into it....

thanks again.

Jump on Steezy's rod right now on the flea market. Great, rod, great price, great guy.

i agree with Bronzefly.

its hard to find an all around rod for every technique but u cant go wrong with a G Loomis rod..  and the GLX is worth the extra bucks.

If you didn't want to spend over $200, you can probably find a good used 783 IMX for $160-$180. I have used it for everything you list except rattletraps. The MBR 3 power can really do it all.
