Boogie baits by booyah

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever tried these?  How do you fish them? What colors, and when do you fish them? I got one today, tried it, caught 2 decent sized bass.

Yes I have tried them and own a few.

How- I fish them different at different times.

Just like any other lure the retrieve and speed of fishing them is depended upon the weather conditions and the season.

Colors- Depend on water clarity, and voercast just like any other lure.

I like fishing them around cover such as submerged timber and ripping them through like a jig, letting it fall in the cover and than raising the rod tip to activate the blade and get some vibration going. This usually entices strikes. Also if there is submerged vegetation i like keeping them right above it, for luring bass down i nthe weeds.

Hope this helped some -WM GL HF ; ;)

Today i went out and tried it again. No luck, but a spinner bait, a small one with a grub on it i caught a 2lb bass. Wierd. Why would bass want a smaller meal? I was fishing them the same.(like i always do, usually just a small jerk and pause).

im in florida and went fishing in a lake by my house.  first time catching something on a senki too.  too bad they were wall huggers (steep natural rock wall) and lost alot of hooks dues to that fact too.  but then i threw a booyah spinnerbait in chartreuse.  landed a 2#'er, and hooked a nice 3-4#'er but then it threw the bait.  i was surprised today, but i guess conditions asked for it since it was cloudy and a little windy.  the water condition was also stained to cloudy.  i am going to go try to chatter baits soon.

I'm not much of a fan of booyah baits anyway....but I will always give a company that I haven't tried a chance.

I have tried just about every type of these baits.  I have to say that I like the Boogie bait the best.  These type of baits are not magic, but in the right circumstances, they can really whack em ;)

I like the booyah brand better than the chatterbait.   They just seem a little more rugged.  The chatterbaits feel like they are cheaply made.   Also, the Boogie Bait has a slightly bigger profile.   I had a lot of success with them this year at night using a black/black trailer fishing it like a spinnerbait.

I like the Boogie bait over the Chatterbait.  First, the blade connection is better IMO.  Most of the Chatterbaits I owned had cracked hookeyes that broke.  I do not know if they have fixed this problem.  Second, the long hook on the Boogie bait helps with short strikes.

I also like the Venom and Gambler versions of this bait.  There are some other companies coming out with similar baits in 2007 as well.

Good luck!

Brad
