Has anyone turned a regular cork handle into a split grip?

I have been wanting to customize the handle on one of my rods into a split grip handle. Have any of you done this, and how do you do it?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

    I've done it but I am not a rod maker. I think I made a post on it but it was a while ago. A little search will probably find it.

    I just read the attached thread, it does not explain the process of splitting a grip.  How would I go about this? Advice?

    Go to   "the tackle making section" and do an extensive search , you'll find what you are looking for.
