tip speed on frog rods

What kind of tip do you like for frog rods? I've always liked soft tips on the moderate side of fast so that the rod will load up with a lightweight frog and cast well. I also feel that it allows a little give to keep from ripping the bait out of the fish' mouth when setting the hook with heavy braid.

I'm seeing a lot of rods that are marketed as flipping and pitching rods/heavy cover rods that can double as frog rods but they have Extra Fast tips. I'd always thought Extra Fast would be disadvantageous for frogs because the tip would be too stiff to cast and wouldn't give with braid....

What do you guys prefer?

I only have one XF rod a 7'M. I love the way it casts. It loads up quickly and for plastics and light jigs it works great. I have a 7'MH-F that I now use for frogs, but my next rod will be a 7'MH-XF.

I'm with you Dan, like a fast to mod-fast stick for frogs.

Like you said, it loads well.  It also acts as a buffer in the event I set the hook too early, which is always a possibility when frog fishing...it's just so exciting.
