    If it was my first bait casting combo, I think I would get a 6'6" Medium Fast. The shorter rod will be more accurate and IMO this combo would be good for small cranks, spinnerbaits and 1/4 - 1/2 jigs and soft plastics.

    cabelas just took that combo off the sale,& replaced that sale with a 20.00 off 100.00 purchase so i'll pick up the shimano citica for 99.00 & look for a rod later
