oo and merry christmas ...  ;D

having fished that reel,  its VERY nice, I went from that Curado to a Revo STX, that too is a great, but right now Im hanging on tight to my Fuego and wont be letting it go anytime soon.

Fish that Curado, I can guarantee you'll love it along with alot of Shimano guys in here that will tell you same.  Keep It! ;)

I like the D better than my E.  Stronger overall feel.  The main gear is thicker.  The handle, cast control knob, drag star on the E have a plastic appearance.  The worm gear cover is plastic on the E.   I have found the D to cast farther and with less backlash.  My E's plaming plate has a loose feel.   Sure the D is heavy but I think it will last forever and I dont fish the E anymore.

I think the 200DHSVs are better reels than the newer E200s.   If you take them apart, you can definitely see where Shimano saved production cost with the E200.

excellent reel.

don't know if the d's are "better" than the e's...they are certainly stouter.

they should be...they're over 2 oz. heavier.
