What is this piece that broke inside of my Stradic F1 spinning reel?

Featured Replies

About half way through the fishing season this past year I noticed my drag quit clicking when line was being pulled out of the reel. I didn't think much of it at the time. I finally took it apart to look at it and saw a piece was half broken off and when I touched it the thing completely fell off. Does anybody know the name of the part and where I can get another?

Here is where it broke off of:

I had it happen to mine also, and I remember hearing of a few others where that peice broke, so it might be a common problem. I think Shimano might offer a free replacement if you call them or send it in.

If its for a 2500FI

Part# 10347 Drag Click

If not let me know I have the specs right here.
