Gander Mnt crank rod?

Featured Replies

When looking for a deep crankbait rod I came across a Gander Mnt. Advantage IM6/e-glass HM 7' crank rod. It seemed lite and had Fuji seat and guides. Anyone know about this rod? Retails for $29.99

Don't know about that specific rod, but I have two Gander Mountain rods and have been pleased with their performance. However, they were both in the $50-$60 price range, which is much more than the rod you mentioned. Is it on sale for $29.99 or is that the regular price?

I've had that same e-glass rod now for about 5 years. For the price it's a pretty decent rod and has held up well for me. I primarily used it for deep cranks and I really have no complaints about it.

Go for it!

Thanks bassinleo.... Your advice has always been right on. I think I will pick it up this week. Who knows it might be good for other applications like buzzbaits or hard swimbaits. Hope we get a chance to meet on Presque Isle Bay this spring.
