You've never held a rod like this in your hand before
I have a Victory Marshall rod and the glue failed at the lug nut in front of the reel. I called St. Croix regarding a replacement, and they offered me a new rod for $50 and I could keep the old one rather than ship it back. I re-glued the rod I had and now have two. I'm happy!

Very tall and thick Lilly Pads, How do you fish?
Weightless Texas Rig, 5"senko on a 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG or a Spro popping frog. 20# braid with the Senko and 50# with the frog.

Favorite Fishing Gloves (Fingerless) ?
Mangrove sun gloves. They dry very quickly and I don't even know I have them on.

I'm done using a palomar with fluoro
I've been using the Uni knot almost exclusively for years and have never had any problems with flouro (I only use Invizx), mono, braid or hybrid lines. I originally decided to try the Uni because the Palomar was a pain with spinnerbaits and crankbaits. I still try the Palomar occasionally but always go back to the Uni.

Denali Kovert
I use 15# Suffix Siege mono with this rod.

Denali Kovert
I have this rod and use it all the time for spinnerbaits, single hook swimbaits, chatterbaits and even for medium sized topwaters.

Best uncommon senko colors?
Smoke Pearl Blue is my best producer. Watermelon with either black or red flake is #2.

What's your favorite hook for a weightless 5" Senko??
I tried to make the Twistlock Owner work for 2 years and it seemed like I couldn't land anything. When I went back to 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG all was right in the world. I then tried the VMC 3/0 Long Shank EWG and, again, couldn't land a bass. I'm back to the Gammy EWG forever.

Victory Is Near
For a light spinning rod like the Victory 7'1" MF should it be paired with a very light reel or would something like a Stradic be appropriate?
-
Victory Is Near
It took less than an hour to get a "your order has shipped" confirmation from Thorne Bros! Wow! That's the rod I ordered. I'll be looking for your video.

Victory Is Near
Just ordered the 7'1" MF Finesse spinning rod online from Thorne Bros. All the Indiana suppliers were sold out of everything, but they were all local shops (which was my first choice). I was going to wait a while but Thorne Bros website said the out of stock rods wouldn't be available till August 1st! I couldn't wait that long. ?

I'll be there.

Do those Polar sunglasses really let you see under water?
Last year I got new prescription sunglasses with all the UV and anti glare features and the blue mirror finish. My previous pair was the same but had a grey tint. The new ones have an amber tint and the difference is amazing! The amber tint gives everything more definition and I can see through the water much better.

St Croix Victory Rod Technique names - some are confusing
I've been following the St Croix Victory Rod roll out and some of the technique names are confusing. I have a pretty good idea what most of them mean but am not sure about "Max-Tactical." And I'll admit that "The Marshall" has me puzzled. ?

Need a new Senko rod - Considering a St Croix Mojo Bass medium-fast 7' spinning rod. Your thought?
I probably should have mentioned I throw it weightless Texas Rig style the vast majority of the time. Most likely I'll do more wacky this summer but probably not enough to go with a wacky-specific rod.
