Looking for a single hook baitcasting rod (chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, swim jig) for kayak, so something under 7” and moderate-fast action. 
 

Been wanting a Denali rod for some time so their Kovert spinnerbait model caught my eye:

Has anyone fished this rod or have recommendation for other rod for this application?

I have this rod and use it all the time for spinnerbaits, single hook swimbaits, chatterbaits and even for medium sized topwaters.

Thanks! Hoping the moderate fast action will help me keep fish pinned a bit better than the Kistler Argon MH Fast I’ve been using. Really wanted to like that rod but the tip is kind of stiff and I think I’m losing fish because of it. Or I just suck at landing fish

 

Never handled a Denali.  You might want to look at the Falcon Expert 6'10" Heavy Moderate Fast if you can go a few dollars more.  Sometimes referred to as the Head Turner.  Next on my list.    Said to be a very versatile rod.

I use 15# Suffix Siege mono with this rod. 

I bought a Lews “Hank Parker” signature series 6’-10” med. power casting rod from Wal-Mart $40.00, wonderful rod. I only have experience with one Denali rod a “Fission” series rod which I’m actually quite impressed with. I know it’s not a great response but  for $40.00 I think the Lews is hard to beat, good sensitivity and very well built.
