whats everyones favorite jig rod and why

Sensitive,feels good to me, and can handle the jig weights i use well.

With what kind of jig? For punching matts and lily pads, or for stream Smallmouths? For 1/8th ounce hair jigs in Winter, or for 3/4 ounce football heads? There's lots of different kinds of jigs.

DX744C as of yesterday. I can easily cast 1/4-3/4 jigs a mile and is plenty sensititve and lightweight and perfectly balanced.

It has the ability to cast a variety of jig weights well, and has plenty of power.

For where I fish, Dobyns 765. Super light, super well balanced, and extremely sensitive. For lakes and such, I'd go with the Dobyns Extreme 744.

I use 5 or 6 different ones depending on the jig.

Kistler- magnesium TS, MH, 6'10" cast- line wt. 12-17 lb.- lure wt. 1/4-3/4 oz. (MgAJFHJMH610) perfectly balanced, good backbone, very sensitive. This is an Alton Jones 'football jig' signature model.

I'm actually in the process of building my fave right now. I thought of all of the good charicteristics of the rods that I've used on Lakes Norfork and Bull Shoals over the years and rolled them into one.

This is a 7' Forecast MB843 MH Fast that will sport a Revo S. It's spiral wrapped with Alps BUDUG guides in 12 for the stripper, an 8 and then 6's to the tip.

the rod im using now is a 6'6 mh mag touch rod by cabelas it has a lot of backbone its light and pretty sensitive but im hoping to be able to use my vendetta here soon when ever it gets here and hoping thats more sensitive
