Im wondering what would be the best pitching rod to get for $250 or less. I will be using it for medium grass type situations fishing around reeds. I was looking at the Daiwa Zillion and the Dobyns Champion Flipping Rods but I'm just not sure. If you recommend any others please let me know. Im going to put a Revo SX on it if that matters. Thanks.

Idk about the flippin rod, but I use a Dobyns 704C (7' H, fast action) for pitchin.  It is an awesome rod, very sensitive and very light weight.

in my opinion one of the best flipping rods are the Phenix super flipping rods , namely the 7'11" med heavy . it has a strong back bone is very light for a rod it's length . would be perfect for medium grass and punching mats , pads , and tulies .

Dobyns 735 Or 765 depending on your length preference. I prefer the 765 if I'm fishing around heavier cover personally.

No problem.  I have the Mossyback in both the 853 & 854 (md heavy & heavy).  Really like both rods.  I use the 854 for heavier weeds and the 853 with with 12# fluoro for jigs and lighter flipping applications.

Ok cool. Does anyone know anything about the Dobyns Champion Flipping Rods? My brother has a savvy and loves it I was just wondering if its worth the upgrade. Thanks.
