Cabelas fluro = Awesome!!

Featured Replies

I just wanted to give a shout out to this line. I've been a fan of Seagur for a while now and like InisX allot. The problem has always been the fairly high price tag most Fluro's carry. Then last year I heard Seagur makes the Cabela's line. I tried some 6# on a spinning reel and liked it. Then a few weeks ago I ordered some 8# and 20# for my bait casters. After several outings I have to say I'm extremely impressed so far. It has low memory, but at the same time has allot less stretch then InisX. All in IMHO it's the best fluro I've used so far and I've tried allot. You also can't beat their price on the 400 yard spools as well. So pick some up I think you will be impressed.

I have also used it, in 6# test and it performs very similarly to invizx. Its price also makes it more attractive too. It's close enough to Invizx to go for the money savings.

Just to confirm, you're referring to the No-Vis in the blue box?  I haven't tried mono yet, but at the No-Vis prices it might be worth trying. ;)

I agree the Cabelas 100% FC is really good.  I use 8# on my spinning rig.

It seems like it says on the box that it's made in Germany which is where the Triple Fish is made as well.  I picked up a 200 or 250 yd spool of TF FC for my dad a couple of weeks ago for 7.95!!  That's about as cheap as I've seen FC anywhere.

How do you guys feel it compares to Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon line?

I haven't tried any Seaguar lines yet.

Yeah, I've heard that, and noticed the Cabela's FC is thicker per "rated" break than XPS, which leads me to believe they are not the same formula. Dunno the two really compare due to the BS rating game. Again, I go by diameter first to meet my presentation needs. And most lines are close enough in tensile strength to be useful. After diameter, it's the other properties that begin to matter most -like abrasion resistance and handling (stiffness).

Glad you guys like the Cabela's. I will consider trying some.
