Ok so I had a Core/carrot stix combo for jig fishing setup with 50# and a flouro leader.  It was pretty good and I didn't really worry about the guides on the rod cause they were cheap anyway.  I have since broken the carrot stix and stepped up to a Cumara.  My question is.... Will the knot joining the braid and flouro damage the nice fuji guides on the cumara when casting and retrieving?

    Nope, unless your knot is Huge, and has superglue on it.. ;D I throw braid on my Shimano Calcutta rod all the time.. :)

    never seen or heard of a calcutta rod !!!
