Grease and Oil are Lubes.

A grease is really just oil with a detergent (soap) added to help it stay in place. It is much thicker than oil. Here is all the info you need about grease...

An oil is just grease without the soap. :)

    Grease the gearing, oil the bearings. Less is always better. Not more than 2 drops on the bearings after cleaning them. I like yellow rocket fuel on the bearings. Any reel grease suits me.

    see this is where i am confused... abu garcia makes a oil and lube, but not grease. Yet they show you where to grease the reel for maintenance

    LUBE MAY REFER TO GREASE IN THIS CASE. LUBE =GREASE.
