hey guys looking to get another revo sx for a spinnerbait reel.  it will me on a st. croix 7' spinnerbait rod.  what gear ratio would u recommend using 6.4.1 or 7.1.1  I will be throwing 3/8-1 oz spinnerbaits in 8 ft or less of water. around everything u can imagine.   thanks

6.4 for sure, i personally don't care for the burners

Between those 2, I'd say the 6.4:1 as well. Personally, I like a slower reel when I throw spinnerbaits. Mine is an Energy PT in a 5.1:1.

k thx for the feedback guys.  i fish the alabama river and coosa river chain lakes alot.  do u guys think a faster reel might help a little like when they are pulling water.  im used to a pflueger 6.4.1 and it seemed fine but at times seemed a little slow.  but idk if it was the reel or me.

I prefer a faster retrieve, so I use a Curado 200e7 on my dedicated spinnerbait rig.
