Frogg  Toggs Rain Ware?

Featured Replies

I need to pick up a new rainsuit this year. And I don't want to go nuts with cost! I was looking at the Frogg Toggs at Bass Pro, they have a Pro suit for $49.95 and a Pro Action suit for $39.95 and a Pro Sport Angler suit for $59.95. Are they any good? And of the 3 here which one is the better suit?  I don't llike to get wet, but I don't want a warm suit to ware when it is hot and rainning.

I had some Frog Toggs, they're alright.Probally as good as you will get for the money. However, water will run down your sleeve and your neck with enough rain.As will with most rainsuits under $100.

I would get the ones that came with the bibs instead of the pants.

Ive had mine for at least five years.  I like them a lot.  I think you could buy something nicer but theyare hard to beat for the money.  Work well as wind breakers too!!!!

I've got 2 pair.  They keep you dry and are about as cool as anything in hot weather.  I have the jacket and pants and they are not real bad to expose your back when bending over.

I got a pair for xmas and love them.  I live in Fl and it warm most of the time and they are still confortable.  The also make a great wind suit on chilly days.

I have a pair for about 3 years now, and they hold up good for the money. I keep them rolled up and use them only if needed( rain catches me on the water). I never went out fishing on rain hoping that I'm not gonna get wet at all, but it's a great "emmergency" rain suit. Works great as a windbreaker, too. If you are a "just for fun" fisherman, and don't mind seeking shelter if the rain doesn't stop for hours , go for it.

If you plan on participating in some tourneys, buy Goretex.

and deffinitely get the ones with the BIBS !!!

I've had mine 3 yrs-never got wet

Worth the money!  Get the bibs because the pants droop and the jacket rides up when you bend over to pick up fish

Negatives are they can rip easy if you catch them on a branch or something sharp and too much sitting makes the butt wear out and pill but i still recommend them

Good luck

I've had a pair (bibs) for 2 years.  I like them for the money but I have definately been wet.  If it downpours or steady rain for hours you will get wet through zippers and seams.  If your in and out of showers they work as well as anything.

I have two pair and like them a lot. Get the pair with the bibs and a pull over top. All zippers are good for is to let air and water through. Mine keep me relatitively dry, but as with anything if you are out there in the right weather you will get wet. Cannot speak for them in the cold as I use the BPS 100mph suit when the weather is raw.
