Allstar classic rod specs

Featured Replies

I was at Academy and I was looking at the allstar classics which did not have any rod specs on the spinning rods. I saw a 6'6" rod, line weight 8-12, lure weight ( i think ) 1/8-1/2 oz. Would this be a medium or a ML? It felt a little light so im guessing its a ML...?

You were looking at a ML rod.

That was probably a 783S model. In baitcasting that model was listed as an Extra fast, medium light, not sure on the spinning version. Emphasis on the extra fast though, it was no buggy whip by any means and I use them as jerkbait and topwater rods.

It's very possible you were looking at a TWS ..a rod designed by Zell Roland for Pop R's (those are the specs for those rods). I have one and it is kinda of a cross between a ML and M. Good rod... very versatile.
