I can't seem to find a definitive answer online. One place says the Sahara includes an extra spool and another place says they don't. What I'm looking for is the lowest price reel Shimano makes that comes with the spare...

My Sahara didn't.  My understanding is anything higher than the Symetre comes with one.  The Sahara up all use the same spools, I ebay'd a Saros spool for ~$20.

I'm pretty sure the Stradic models and Saros do.  I'm not sure about the Sustain and Stella, but considering how much it costs to buy a spool for a Stella, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't come with a spare. 

I ordered a spare for my Symetre straight from Shimano, I think it was $25.

I have 5 Saharas and they all came with extra spools.  The newst one was bought last year

For anyone who is curious, I got a Symetre today and tried my extra Stradic spool on it.  The Stradic spool fit but when I put the drag knob on it stuck up a little higher and left a small gap that wasn't there with the Symetre spool.  I think since the Sahara, Symetre, and Saros drag knobs are the same so the spools should be interchangable.  I think the Stradic spool would work if you are okay with the gap.

I was actually looking for an extra spool for either my Saros or my Symetre in the garage today, couldn't find either one of course.

Did find one for a Sahara, but it said Sahara on it, couldn't bring myself to throw it on there.
