It's a good, solid, proven, dependable reel. It's smooth, and casts baits down to 1/4 oz very well. It's built like a tank. The drag is second to none.

I have two Revo Ss. I have one on my flipping rod and one on my Carolina Riggin' rod, both spooled with 20 lb Trilene Fluoro. Both get used hard. Both have landed big catfish, one upwards of 25-30 lbs that took a jig. I've used them both in brackish water with no ill effect.

I have three, fourth one coming next week.  It is all I have, plus one black max.  I fish them pretty hard.  I haven't had any issues and the oldest one is about three years now.  I flip and pitch and also make long casts, they excel at both techniques.  I fish mostly in heavy heavy timber and they haul bass out of it just fine.  All of mine are the older versions. For my $ they are the best.

I also have three.  If you shop you can find them for under a hundred bucks new.  I was able to get mine on an in store special for 69.97 each.   They are great performers.  I would try and wait for Icast to finish up.There might be some hot deals.
