Featured Replies

I'm looking for line recommendations for fishing at night with blacklights. I've started using flourocarbon & like how it fishes without stretch. Any opinions? Thanks!

I dont let night time fishing change the line im using just the lure choice and color. But im not really sure what you mean your fishing with blacklights?

I take it he wants a flourescent blue line.  With blue lines I either have dedicated combos or fill my spare spinning spolls with blue line and change them out.  I use BPS Ecel without problem but P-Line makes a blue CX Premium and I would go that way.  If you want to stick with FC, I believe Stren makes a blue FC, it may be worth checking out.

Yep fishing with blacklights. It makes a lot of sense to not change if you like a certain setup but a line that fluoresces seems to have some advantages in detecting bites. Any fluorocarbon line that's fluorescent under blacklight?

KY Warmouth, I'll check those out. Thanks!

Stren clear blue florescent and a black light. Glows like a yellow cable.

You are a believer in no stretch myth ??? Which fluorocarbon line do you use that is without stretch?

Trilene Clear Blue is an excellent flourescent line.

The P-Line CX Premium is sweet at night under the black light! Great line, too.

I've never fished fluorocarbon line, but also thought it had no stretch from reading fishing forums. That is until I read TackleTours article. That was an eye opener.

Yes, I am just advancing out of the dark ages. Bought my first baitcasting reel this year. Bought my first braid this year. Think I will hold off on fluorocarbon for awhile based on what I've read about it so far. Seems to me the disadvantages of using it outweigh its advantages. At least that is my current opinion for my fishing. YMMV.
