Pinnacle Vision Slyder application

Featured Replies

I just purchased a reel on Ebay. Its a Pinnacle Vision Slyder. I know the little wheel is perfect for finesse applications...Thats a no brainer. I was wondering about the gear ratio.

Its a 7.0:1 ratio. Would this be a good spinnerbait reel? What about small cranks?

What application is this ratio really ideal for?

Anyone else have this reel? Can anyone give me some personal reviews of it?

Airborne_Angler:

The beauty of the Slyder is that if offers the best of both worlds -- an innovative "Finesse Wheel" for slyyyyding lures slowly and enticingly around structure, plus a speedy 7:1 gear ratio for working  reaction type baits.  The blazing retrieve is great for ripping in lipless crankbaits, buzzbaits/buzz frogs, spinnerbaits and other lures designed to be worked at a faster clip.  It's also useful for retrieving slack line in a hurry after casting, so you won't miss any hits on the drop.  For the money...the Pinnacle Vision Slyder can't be beat.

Good Fishing!

Ya know its crazy. I purchased a Pinnacle Platinum Plus LP100C on Ebay. I get the package in the mail and inside of it is a Pinnacle Vision Slyder.

The guy had another auction for the Platinum Plus LP100C and it sold to someone else.

I guess the guy must've seen the word "Pinnacle" on the package of this second reel(The Slyder) and advertised it as being the same as the other Platinum Plus he had sold previously.

Paid $15 for the reel and $8 for shipping. The reel was new in the package. SCORE!!!

Listing to the auction I won.
