Garage Sale Rods and Reels

Featured Replies

I just purchased 2 rods and reels this last weekend at a garage sale.  A Rhino reel RBC 200 on a BPS Tourney Special 6'6" m Rod.  The other was a Daiwa Triforce-Z 1531V reel on a Berkley Lightning  IMC-6 6'6" M Rod.  Only paid $20.00 each for them.  I know ablout the rods but can't find hardly any information on the reels.  Can anyone give me some info on the reels.  Thanks

I never have heard of the reels, but, congratulations on your finds. I hit flea markets in my area and pick up some good rods and reels. I picked up a pair of the old abu garcia mag plus baitcasters for twelve bucks last year. Great outfits to go pond jumpin with. I put one on a 5 dollar quantum lite 6'-6" med action rod i had picked up and this is one awesome crankbait rod. I just picked up a 7' med action daiwa rod today for 5 bucks and paired it up with a shimano spinning reel with a 6.3 gear ratio I found last month for 10 bucks. It cast a country mile, going to a 20 acre lake in the morning, can't wait to use it. I get a kick out of using some of the vintage rods and reels. I found 2 lews speed spools recently for 35 each, awesome crankin reels. Put one on a 7' mh lightning rod, nice deep crankin outfit. Nailed a 20lb cat on it with no problems.
