Anyone using Team All Star spinning rods, for drop shot, finesse etc?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering if TAS spinning rods are lite, flexable and sensitive enough for DS, shaky head, etc, or if they're overbuilt like the baitcast rods. I have one that I use for flippin heavy weeds and it's a beast. It's rated 3/8-1oz, but could handle 2oz, no problem.

they work fine, as long as you get one that feels good to your needs and you are confident with it its just as good as a 300 dollar job imho

I have a 7' Team All Star spinning, M/MF that I use for small cranks and topwaters. Solid decent rod. Doesn't feel overbuilt at all, though I have seen/used lighter and more sensitive rods. For 80 bucks, which is what I paid for it, it's pretty good.
