I am in the market for a longer crank bait rod for deeper diving cranks. I mostly toss SK Series 6XD's and Spro Little John DD's. Does any one own and/or use the Team All Star TAS-945CBX rod? It's listed as 7'10", M power, mod action, 8-17lb line, and 3/8's-1oz baits. TW shows it as having split EVA grips, while the rest of the rods in that line are full cork, All Stars web site shows full cork????? :-/ can any one clear that up? How does the rod handle those baits ,or something like a Bandit 700, DT-16, DD-22, or Fat Free Shad, basically any of the more popular, big deep divers?

It's a full cork rod.  I loved everything about it, except that the handle was not long enough.  The cork on the bottom of the rod ended up breaking.  The short handle also impeded making the furthest casts possible.  Other than that it was a great rod.
