its an old shimano has anyone ever seen one

That is a Shimano Bantam 100, this is the first reel Shimano made, around 1985 or so.I have one just like it but I screwed up and put an aftermarket handle on it and chunked the original handle.

yea its in good condition except for that wholeside flaking off.

With hard use they would flake like that ,looks like mine.I've seen a few in mint condition on E-bay

Man have that thing cleaned up and use it they are better than alot of reels made today. Dont let noone talk u out of it . I guarantee you that you will get many years of good service out of that reel. Sweet find and good luck fishing!!!!
