abu garcia vendetta for flipping

Featured Replies

i was wondering if the 7'6" H vendetta would be a good choice as a flipping stick.  i noticed though that on *** the mh model could handle more weight casting.  My question is which is better the mh or H model and will either make a good flipping stick.

Are you talking true flipping? Or flipping and pitching?  If you are going to do any pitching i would use the MH.  Alot depends on what your going to be fishing on a regular basis.  But I actually use a 7' 3" Veritas for all my flipping and pitching and it has suited me fine.

You can pitch or flip with ANY rod and reel.  Consider the cover you most often fish, and that will determine MH or H.

i have the 7.6H vendetta and the 7.3MH and the 7.6 is a beast, heavy grass or when you really dont want to play around. you defiantly will have the dink come flying at you if you set the hook hard with braid. The 7.3 is real good big worm and jig excellent pitching and roll cast. id say the 7.3 is a better all around rod while the 7.6 is a specilized tool.

well i was looking to get a rod that could handle heavy cover.  i have a 7' avid mh that i use for most pitching but i dont feel like that would handle heavy cover to well.

if your in chesterfield, if you want to try them out let me know.

Well i attend Virginia Tech so im not currently in chesterfield.  Do you own a few or something?

nah one of each but im pretty much done for the year. but let me know

I do some pitching with my 6'9" MH Vendetta and I am happy with it.

I wouldn't fish in really thick stuff with it though.
