Has anyone used both that can give a comparison between the two?  I've read a few reviews saying the Veritas is even less weight than the Vendetta and also more sensitive.

In your opinion is there enough difference in sensitivity to make upgrading to the Veritas worth while?

I have had 3 Vandettas and now I only have one and I am trying to get rid of it.  I now own 4 Veritas and wanting another.  They are 10x better rods than the Vandetta.  Have a completely exposed reel seat so sensitivity and comfort jumps up alot with just those two aspects.  Weight feels substantially lighter.  I hated the rough metal end cap it always dug into my ribs on hookset.  With the Veritas that is not in the equation.  I have th 7'3" MH Veritas which I use for jigs, the 7" MH for plastics, 7' M for square bills and topwater the 6'9" for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits.  Going to buy a 7' M spinning for my shakey heads soon.  I LOVE these rods.

The veritas is better but don't throw away the Vendetta yet.I use my Vendettat rods for crankbaits and spinnerbaits now.

the vendettas feel heavy because they are factory-balanced for the revo SX, an 8.9 ounce reel. that being said, i am not a fan...they feel inordinately heavy for their size and they seem overly stiff for their rated actions (their attempt to increase sensitivity?).

i have two of the veritas (the 7'0" M MF and the 7'3" MH F). so far, very impressed. they're light, weighing in at 4.1 and 5.2 ounces respectively. the VRC73-6 feels spot-on for it's rating. the VRC70-5 is much faster than i expected but, as it turns out, i'm actually glad. i've caught a few dozens stripers on it already and fishes like a champ.

The Vendetta I have is a pretty good rod and I will use it until it breaks, but the Veritas are better.

I held the 7' Heavy  today at BPS and was very impressed.

It is a lot lighter than the Vendetta and it feels great in my hand. I got another PQ today and I am hoping to pair it with the Veritas soon.

Even though the Veritas are better rods, that doesn't mean that Vendettas are bad. For the price, they are very good.

I looked at both rods at Cabelas yesterday and I thought the Vendetta felt a little better in my hand.  The reel seat screw down on the Veritas feels bulky because that's where my index finger rests.  I know that's because the reel seats right on the blank, so I guess that's part of the trade off for added sensitivity?  Both rods were really light, which was nice.  The only gripe about the Vendetta was it only had 8 guides (including the tip), but I'm not totally sure that's a big deal.

Anyway, that's my review.

Check out the Falcon BooCuu line.  They are even lighter than the Abu's.

veritas is defiantly worth the extra 10 bux. super sensitive and well balanced.

If the Veritas has an exposed reel seet, it doesn't appear to me that its the blank that is showing.  It looks much thicker than the what the blank should be at that point, and thicker than the blank at the butt.  It's almost like that have a slip cover over the blank that the reel seat is attached to. 

yeah i just looked at that on TW. someone who has one will have to let us know.

I looked at all of mine and cant really tell if it is a sleeve or not.  It looks like they had to taper the rod for the lockdown nut.  From the reel seat to the butt it is the same size.  The lockdown nut appears to be the same size on all of the rods.  Im not a rod builder but i can say it doesnt look like or feel like a sleeve but u know how these rod manufacturers are they are some tricky dudes 

I've heard that about the seat, but I'm not sure. I really haven't paid too much attention to the reel seat at all. I have the 7' M MF and haven't noticed any problem with sensitivity. I've thrown 3/8-1/2 spinnerbaits, LC Clunn's, and various other cranks with it and it seems sensitive enough to me.

It is stiffer than I was expecting so it's been moved over to spinnerbaits instead of shallow-medium cranks which is what I originally got it for. I do think it would make a good squarebill rod though.

I used it today for throwing a deeper running crank and it performed well. I only used a 5-size Fat Free Shad, I will try a DT10 & 16 next time out. I had my 5:1 Fuego on it and it's a really good feeling combo!

Thanks for input on the rods and Cabelas in Hammond just got them in and I will give them a look.
