strike king pro model jig

Featured Replies

just wondering if there is anyway to take the rattles off of these because i cant seem to get my trailer to go all the way up the jig. i have once and i catch alot more fishing making the jig look more compact. i have seen people just hook the plastic pork trailer through the top and let it dangle but i dont like the look. any help would be nice.

How thick is the trailer?  On those, I usually just insert the hook over to one side (front or back) of the trailer as opposed to going straight through the middle.  The 'thin' side goes against the rattle.

That's the reason I quit using them, their fine if you want hang a trailer like a pork chunk but not to good for craw worms.

I use pliers to rip the rattles off.

I tryed the pliers and still couldn't get the rattle off, I don't understand why these companies build their jigs like this, do they not know that some people thread the trailers up onto the jigs? Idiotic imo... I also believe every jig that comes with a rattle should be removable, wouldn't that be best? I know their are times when a rattle is prefered, but there are times where it isn't. Anyway If you guys come up with a way of removing it, I'll be glad to hear it :-/.
