Vendetta Lure Weight

Featured Replies

I recently picked up a Vendetta to replace a broken Veritas.

It's a 7' MH/F with a lure weight of 1/2-3/4 oz.

I'm taking it back to Bass Pro to get a different Vendetta that's a 7' MH/F with a lure weight of 1/4-1 oz.

Maybe this a dumb question, but why are the lure weights different if they are both 7' MH/F? Just curious.

In my experience, the only way that could happen is if one was a baitcasting rod and the other was a spinning rod.

Both casting models.

Perhaps they've discontinued the 1/2-3/4 oz model and replaced it with the 1/4-1 oz version? The first one isn't even listed on Abu's site, only the 1/4-1 oz model.

As a matter of fact, there isn't a single Vendetta listed on their site with a 1/2-3/4 oz lure range.

I don't think it's a misprint, but I could be wrong. I did try casting a 1/4 oz jig on it and it was pretty hard.

I'm going to Bass Pro this weekend to exchange the rod and I'll see if they have both in stock.
