My LOVELY GIRLFRIEND WHO I ADORE AND RESPECT got me a $50 BPS gift-card for Valentines Day ( can you believe she encourages my fishing?!?) and I couldn't think of anything to buy with it then headed over to the BPS clearance and saw this http://www.basspro.com/Quantum-Bill-Dance-Select-Rod-and-Reel-Baitcast-Combos/product/104129/-1543421

I mean, I was trying to think if I needed anything for this season and could only come up with a new rod since i really only have 2. One main Johnny Morris+ Veritas and a crappy spinning rod braided for frog fishing, so i figured it couldn't hurt to get another one. What do you guys think of this? Any experience with these reels? for the price i can only assume the rod is junk but what the heck?

    I bought my son one of the $50 Bill Dance combos when he first learned to baitcast. I think the reel lasted 3 years before it was history.
