TD-X 103 HSD

Featured Replies

Wondering if this reel is worth purchasing for the sale price of 75 dollars. Also if so what is good about it.

Unless the weight bothers you, this will be a smooth, dependable reel. It is well worth the $$$. I really like all these TD-X reels. Newer, lighter ones have been made, but the TD-X's have been used in their fair shair of tournaments. I still use them. Never a problem, except one developed a somewhat sticky drag. Not a major problem.

the reel is on my short list of gear id like to test drive. still a few NIB to be found on ebay too.

Awesome reel! At 9 oz., I think it balances a rod out nicely! You got it for a great price too.

I have a 103 HSDF, first cast, loved it! It's not the prettiest reel out there but it palms nice. It looks bulky but it's not.

If you can find a TDZ bearing supported handle for it. It makes it even more awesomer! ;D

where would i find that from.

You can order one directly from Daiwa. Or keep checking the forums and hopefully someone will sell one.

If you really want, you could also buy aftermarket handles like Bassart, ZPI, etc.
