TEAM DAIWA LT TL-701-1RB 7' CRANKIN ROD

Featured Replies

Hey guys anyone here use this rod for crankin?  Been looking at buying my first cranking rod and this one got my eye.  Can get it quite cheep on ebay just wanted to see what you guys think before I decide.

Ive used them years ago and all the L&T rods from Daiwa are amazing and will give you total performance for years and years! if you havent held one you need to do so... they are awesome. make sure you check out Carrot stixs too... I think you will like them a lot more then anything you can touch under 400 dollars.

Hey thanks a lot! Had it come in the other day and used it for the first time today.  Got 2 bass on it and I love it.  I just love the Daiwa LT line now.  Plan on getting the flipping or frog stick within the next week or so

Daiwa L&T and TD-S rods are amazing and can not be beat at there price. I still have a TD-S Frog rod that I use at times and you just cant break them and they feel so good in the hand.. I pretty much fish nothing but Carrot stixs and Daiwa Steez rods now, but I would fish a L&T or TD-S rod in a heart beat if I had to. To this day my FAV reel seat on ANY ROD is the one from a Daiwa S rod or from the L&T rod. you will fish it for many years to come and you can bet it will not ever let you down. ;D

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm interested in this rod and can't seem to find much info.

I'm using a TDS 7' MH glass rod for deep cranks (and 3/8-1/2oz spinnerbaits) now and wonder how the LT compares?  I noticed the lure ratings are both slightly lighter and a 1/2oz heavier.  Will the LT rod handle the DD22's?  I love the way the S rod sticks fish but I'm always looking for something lighter.
